For Sale: Legendary Thiel CS-2.3 coherent source loudspeakers in great condition. Tweeter/midrange drivers and crossovers were upgraded in February, supposedly they will compete with the newer CS-2.4 which sell for around $3600! Selling below BlueBook value of $1700.
These are true audiophile speakers running at 4 ohms and 87dB sensitivity, you will need a dedicated power amp to run these (will melt your typical receiver!) Carpet spikes are included.
These are from my personal collection, driven with a McIntosh MC-7205 200wpc amplifier. I really enjoyed these speakers, but I'm selling because I'm upgrading to a pair of my dream speakers, B&W Nautilus 803's which are arriving later this week.
A true full range speaker, you do not need a subwoofer with these! Amazing in detail, soundstage, imaging and Thiel's legendary flat response curve across the entire frequency spectrum.
Due to size and weight, local pickup in Los Angeles only. Willing to demo for serious buyers.
